Principal’s Message
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya, Shirur Tajband. Our college is a single faculty Arts institution established with the aim of providing quality higher education to students from socially and economically backward backgrounds. Many of our students are first and second generation learners, and we take pride in being accessible to them.
The vision of our management is to make education available to all, especially those from rural and disadvantaged sections of society. To support this goal, our college has good infrastructure, an enriched library, a well-equipped sports department, and various curricular and extracurricular activities for overall student development.
We also have study circles that help in the holistic growth of our students. Our undergraduate and postgraduate courses serve the educational needs of students from nearby villages and contribute to their social and intellectual development.
Our experienced and dedicated faculty members always focus on learner-centered education. The college organizes many student support activities to help students grow in knowledge, confidence, and values.
We make sincere efforts to retain ethical and moral values among students and continuously strive to fulfil the objectives of our institution to create responsible, educated, and value-based citizens.
